The sixth grade exploratory music grading policy is based on test grades, conduct, cooperation, and effort.  Students are not graded on their musical abilities but on the effort that they show on a daily basis.  Their conduct and cooperation is also a crucial part of their grade.  Students will not be penalized because they cannot play a particular instrument.  However,  they will lose points if they do not show a daily effort.  Sixth Grade students will also be responsible for written tests that will be averaged into their overall grade.
