Parts are Parts
This will be part of Guitar packet that you will make and personalize. After the guitar unit you will have this packet if you would like to continue working on your guitar playing.
1. On the paper provided draw and label the parts of the guitar.
2. Below are the definitions of each part. Please include the definitions, in your own words, on your paper.
3.Using Microsoft Works make a guitar sheet for yourself. Make up
your own title. You may use the picture below (right click on the
picture, click copy, go to Microsoft Works, click paste.) Then add the
definitions in your own words.
4. Save your work on your 3 1/2 floppy disc.

Need To Know The Parts Of
The Acoustic Guitar?
- The
bridge holds the ends of the strings in place.
- The
guitar body amplifies the sound and sends it out through the sound
hole.
- The
pick guard protects the guitar body from getting scratched by a
pick.
- The
frets are the metal ridges embedded in the guitar neck. There are
anywhere from 19 to 24 frets on a guitar neck.
- The
fretboard is the front of the neck where you place your fingers on
the strings.
- The
small dots on the fretboard are fret markers for reference
so you know where you are.
- The
nut is the top edge of the guitar neck.
- The
headstock holds the six tuning pegs in place.
